We develop bespoke professional development for teachers and leaders. We deliver a wide range of training from EYFS,  subject leader support, subject specific training, RSE, attendance and preparation for Ofsted.  We look forward to meeting you in person or via our Zoom training events.

A comprehensive introduction to coaching and how it can be used to develop staff
and change school culture – one conversation at a time.

During this inspirational session we will:

  • Learn the fundamentals of a good coaching style conversations
  • Engage in roundtable discussion around effective implementation, and
    embedment
  • Practice our skills, so that we can confidently introduce this approach in our
    schools
  • We will also cover our approach and how it has been implemented in schools,
    including a look at the educational coach’s Accredited Award in Coach
    Training

Safeguarding update for September

  • A one-day course, facilitated by Matt Sparling.
  • Benefits for senior leaders and DSLs:
    • comprehensive understanding of the content and interpretation of Keeping Children Safe in Education, not simply the substantive changes;
    • a full suite of slides that can be used to deliver to staff and governing bodies in September;
    • suggestions for relevant information that can be used to help staff understand and discharge their role as set out in KCSIE;
    • allow Senior Leaders ways to ensure staff have read and understood KCSIE and schools safeguarding policy including hints and tips to support staff with KCSIE and safeguarding information.

The Power of pupil voices – unlocking the learning

A ½ day course delivered by Amanda Arnold and Grace Jackson. This will focus on:

  • Vocabulary to support learning;
  • Understanding Etymology and Morphology as a tool for learning;
  • Building opportunities for talk;
  • Questioning and retrieval practice;
  • Pupil conferencing;
  • Demonstrating progress first hand through talk.

For Early Years practitioners and leaders:

Waddah Ali is an expert early year’s leader and has devised a comprehensive step by step approach to teaching key skills in the early years. This full day will comprise of two sessions.

The morning session will cover Early Writing, Early Reading and Writing Moderation. This will look at how we teach and assess reading and writing in Early Years, focusing on the following:

  • a step-by-step guide on reaching the expected level and how to extend pupils in reading and writing;
  • how to measure progress;
  • what level of work to expect at each stage of the year;
  • sharing tools for teaching and assessment;
  • writing moderation with a number of schools (practitioners bring three pieces of evidence at different levels to moderate).

The afternoon session will cover Mathematics in Early Years, Early Years Mathematics moderation and Early Years Assessment and teaching and a learning tool for all the 17 areas of learning:

  • a step-by-step guide on reaching the expected level and how to extend pupils in Mathematics;
  • how to measure progress;
  • what level of work to expect at each stage of the year;
  • sharing tools for teaching and assessment;
  • mathematics moderation with a number of schools (practitioners bring three pieces of evidence at different levels to moderate).
