I want to begin by thanking Dave for his outstanding leadership over the past 25 years. His vision and determination, together with the support of Lee, Doug, and David F, have shaped drb into one of the UK’s most trusted and innovative partners in strategic finance and leadership services for schools and academies. It is thanks to their combined efforts that drb has earned its reputation for excellence and integrity.

It is both an honour and a privilege to be asked to succeed Dave as CEO from September 2025. I am deeply aware of the responsibility that comes with this role, and I want to reassure you that my priority is to build on the strong foundations that already exist.

The services you rely on will continue without interruption. Our commitment to supporting schools and academies with expertise, integrity, and innovation will remain at the heart of everything we do. While I am excited about the opportunities ahead, I am equally clear that nothing will change overnight. My focus is on continuity and stability, while also looking to the future.

Over time, I will be working with colleagues across drb to:

  • Modernise our internal systems to ensure we are as efficient and responsive as possible.
  • Enhance the experience of working with drb, for both our staff and our valued clients.
  • Strengthen our client agreements and partnerships, so we continue to deliver exceptional strategic support to schools and academies across the UK.

In the year ahead, Dave and I will be working closely together to ensure a smooth and seamless transition. Beyond that, Dave will continue to play an active role in shaping drb’s future.

Thank you for your trust and continued partnership. I look forward to working with you as we write this next chapter in drb’s journey — one built on stability, shared purpose, and a commitment to excellence.

Kind regards,
Andrew Pilmore
CEO (from September 2025)
