Performance management can be improved without performance related pay
For headteachers and senior leaders:
Andrew Pilmore will lead a comprehensive introduction to the national context and the decisions schools need to make regarding performance related pay for 2024-25.
During this session we will:
- Explore the current guidance for appraisal and capability and look at model policies.
- Discuss the benefits of appraisal not linked to pay.
- Look at people strategies and career pathways.
- Explore a coaching/mentoring approach to performance management.
- Look at a new system for performance management that will be more engaging, time efficient and less bureaucratic.
