Developing leadership skills for new leaders
For teachers who have recently passed ECT 2, are new to leading a subject across the school or are new to middle leadership. Developed and delivered by Dan Sandy, the School Improvement Advisor at the Lighthouse Federation. He is formerly an Advanced Skills Teacher and has a Masters in Education.
The course was recently featured in the TES and will examine two essential components of effective subject leadership: Communication and time management.
Delegates can expect:

- To practically explore what communication and miscommunication are as leaders; how to effectively communicate leadership goals and how to tailor feedback to different colleagues so that leadership messages are received and acted upon.
- To practically explore effective time management strategies used globally for improving work-life balance.
