SUMMARY:Understanding your IDSR (Fairlawns)
DESCRIPTION:For Headteachers and Senior Leaders\nJoin Andrew Pilmore for 
 an in-depth exploration of the new-look IDSR and what it means for schoo
 l leaders.\nThe IDSR has changed considerably\, both in its presentation 
 and in the information available to schools and inspectors. This course wi
 ll help you understand those changes\, interpret your school’s informati
 on accurately and consider what it may mean for your school improvement pr
 iorities.\nA particular focus will be the Similar Schools model. We will 
 look in detail at how this works\, what the comparisons do – and do not 
 – tell you\, and how leaders can use this information intelligently alon
 gside their wider knowledge of the school.\nDuring the session you will:\n
 \n\n 	explore what has changed in the IDSR and develop a clear understand
 ing of the latest format\, measures and information available\;\n 	look in
  detail at the Similar Schools model – understanding how schools are co
 mpared\, how to interpret the information and the questions it may prompt\
 ;\n 	consider how Ofsted may use the IDSR before an inspection – identi
 fying what the information highlights and the areas inspectors may want to
  explore further\;\n 	develop a confident and comprehensive understanding 
 of your own IDSR\, enabling you to discuss it effectively with senior lead
 ers\, staff and inspectors\;\n 	consider the implications for school impro
 vement\, identifying where the IDSR supports\, challenges or adds to your 
 existing evaluation of the school\;\n 	create a concise governor summary\,
  helping governors understand the key messages within the IDSR and prepari
 ng them for the types of questions they may encounter during inspection.\n
 \nPlease note: delegates will need access to their own IDSR during the
