SUMMARY:Effective transition from reception to year 1
DESCRIPTION:This session is for Year 1 staff. It will support staff to impr
 ove their knowledge and understanding of EYFS and support planning a flyin
 g start to Year 1. During this session we will:\n\n 	develop understanding
  of assessment in EYFS\;\n 	explore the areas of learning\, educational pr
 ogrammes and ELG’s\;\n 	support meeting the requirement of the EYFS Prof
 ile Handbook.\n\nThe main purpose of the EYFS profile assessment is to sup
 port children in a successful transition to key stage 1 by informing the p
 rofessional dialogue between EYFS and key stage 1 teachers. It should info
 rm teachers about each child’s stage of development and learning needed.
  It will help them to plan the key stage 1 curriculum to meet the needs of
  all children.
