DESCRIPTION:Effective transition from reception to year 1\nThis session is 
 for Year 1 staff. It will support staff to improve their knowledge and und
 erstanding of EYFS and support planning a flying start to Year 1. During t
 his session we will:\n\n 	develop understanding of assessment in EYFS\;\n 
 	explore the areas of learning\, educational programmes and ELG’s\;\n 	s
 upport meeting the requirement of the EYFS Profile Handbook.\n\nThe main p
 urpose of the EYFS profile assessment is to support children in a successf
 ul transition to key stage 1 by informing the professional dialogue betwee
 n EYFS and key stage 1 teachers. It should inform teachers about each chil
 d’s stage of development and learning needed. It will help them to plan 
 the key stage 1 curriculum to meet the needs of all children.\n\nDate: Wed
