Ofsted altered their framework of how they inspect our schools in September of this year, the idea of the change is to improve the inspection process for all. However, the change can be confusing regarding how it shall affect your school.

Our expert Ofsted course

Andrew Pilmore, our Director of School Improvement, has created a course explaining just that. The course provides expert knowledge of how an inspection using the new framework may look at behaviour, attitudes, personal development as well as leadership and management. We help guide you through your Ofsted investigation including an insight into what a deep dive will mean and what to expect of the initial phone call from Ofsted.

Also included in the course is first-hand experiences from individuals who have been through the new inspection. All the services on offer shall further enhance the delegates understanding of the what the new framework means for their school.

Ofsted in the news

Ofsted has recently come under fire as the BBC has showed that there are 1,010 “outstanding” schools that have not had a visit from Ofsted in a decade – up from 296 in 2017. The Department for Education (DfE) plans to lift an exemption on routine inspections for outstanding schools. It has been in place since 2012 but watchdog Ofsted called for it to end amid concerns about falling standards.

Andrew Pilmore has recently been appointed the role of ‘Director of School Improvement’. Andrew brings around 12 years of experience as a headteacher of many schools including one rated outstanding in Sutton Coldfield, in addition to a four form entry school. Andrew has gained plenty of knowledge over the years on how to prepare for an Ofsted inspection.

When is our Ofsted framework course?
